Individual Therapy
Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.
~ Audre Lorde
Not knowing is a good place to start.
Do you find yourself wishing you were somewhere—or someone—else? Do you feel trapped in the past and anxious about the future? Is your depression or anxiety keeping you from connecting your loved ones? Are your feelings all over the map?
This malaise of modern living is often a sign of a past trauma, or a constellation of traumatic events.
I work to help you uncover, integrate, and rewrite the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that might be keeping you from living a full and empowered life. We’ll explore the feelings that arise in your body, and notice their links to negative thoughts. As we unpack feelings of shame and guilt, you’ll be able to choose a more positive narrative and begin to wholeheartedly trust yourself.
I have special interest in working with women and parents, particularly those with a history of trauma. I have extensive experience working with folx in the LGBTQ+ community and in non-traditional family structures. I’m proud to serve people of all genders, sexualities, ethnic heritages and differing abilities.
